EVA Report #1 ;)

The first EVA was conducted at approximately 5:00pm EST. I exited my living quarters and proceeded across what seemed to be a strange, artificially deposited rock surface towards an architectural formation which is clad in strange fluorescent symbols.

Inside, the native species conversed with me in a helpful manner. In return for some strange green slips of paper which they seemed most happy to accept, I was provided with some sort of food item consisting of a carbohydrate-based base layer, a meat-based layer, some kind of melted yellow rubber, and another carbohydrate-based layer. This seems a most efficient way to consume a range of items at once.

Following my meal I returned to my quarters. After reviewing the symbolic representation of the native public transportation system, I decided to postpone further exploration until some of my crewmembers arrive to assist.

Translation: I ate dinner at the cafe across the street, and decided not to spend 1.5 hours riding busses just to spend an hour alone downtown.

Thank god for the translation! I was starting to think you'd lost it!
(This being Maria. I've decided it would be in my best interest to periodically read about your journey to Mars.)
